Would you pay $12 for 8 pieces of fried sotong?
Stomper Kim was sorely disappointed when she saw how many pieces of fried squid rings she was served after ordering the dish from a stall at Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre on Sunday (Apr 7).
The Stomper told Stomp she ordered the $12 plate of sotong (squid) and was stunned when she received just eight to 10 pieces.
"Don't you think it is ridiculous for this kind of pricing for around eight pieces of sotong?" she asked.
"Furthermore, this is not a restaurant but a stall at a hawker centre."
"We approached the stall asking what their standard serving for the $12 sotong dish is and the helper said she is not sure because the stall's boss was not in that day.
"Shouldn't they have a standard serving size for the food they are selling?"
Kim told Stomp that she would have expected at least 15 pieces of sotong for the price.
