Workers wade through shin-deep water after heavy rain causes flood at Hougang

An entire street was left flooded after a bout of heavy rain along Hougang Avenue 1 at 5pm today (April 27).
Stomper Ray sent Stomp a video of the flooding that occurred between Hougang Ave 1 and Hougang Ave 3 in the direction towards KPE and Tampines Link.
The clip showed construction workers wading through the shin-deep waters.
They were clearing the ladders and barricades off the road.
The workers were helping to upgrade the canal.
Traffic was also brought to a standstill as car drivers stopped their vehicles before the murky water.
