Update on Sept 4:

Missing AirPods found on Yishun letterbox, but with Stomper's name scratched off

Original article:

A woman is appealing for the return of her AirPods, which she lost in Yishun on Aug 22.

Stomper Evelyn said the AirPods were a sentimental gift. She has lodged a police report.

She said: "I was on my way to Wisteria Mall between 7.50pm and 8pm when my Apple AirPods accidentally fell out of my bag. I only realised they were missing after I reached home.

"When I checked the 'Find My' app, the AirPods' location was shown to be in the Palm Breeze HDB estate.

"That same evening, I went to Block 502A Yishun Street 51 and was able to connect to the AirPods with my iPhone. I even played sound on them for over an hour, but unfortunately, no one came forward."

Wisteria Mall, located at 598 Yishun Ring Road, is about two minutes away from Block 502A on foot.

According to Evelyn, her AirPods remained at the same location over the weekend.

"These AirPods are very important to me as they were a meaningful gift from someone dear," she added. "The case is engraved with a star, a rabbit and my name 'Evelyn', which makes them easily identifiable."

Evelyn told Stomp on Aug 28: "I have since lost contact with the AirPods, but I'm not sure if it's because the battery died or someone resetted it."

Nevertheless, she is still hoping for someone to come forward with her AirPods.

"If you have found them, I sincerely appeal to your kindness to return them to me. Your honesty and help would mean a lot, and I would be truly grateful."
