Woman shocked to find sticker labels in her wrap, KFC investigating
A woman was concerned when she discovered three sticker labels with pen writing on them in her KFC wrap.
Stomper Abby told Stomp that she had ordered the Cheesy Zinger Meltz wrap via Grab on Oct 6 at about 10.15pm. The meal was delivered from the KFC outlet at Eastpoint Mall.
"I had consumed half of the wrap before noticing the first sticker," she said.
"This situation raises serious health concerns, particularly regarding the potential ingestion of these foreign objects."
She added that this was "unacceptable" and pointed out food safety risks for children and the elderly.
She shared that she reported the matter to KFC, Grab and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
In response to a Stomp query, a KFC spokesperson said they are currently investigating the incident.
"We are committed to provide the best quality of food and service to our customers, and we take food safety very seriously," the spokesperson said.
On Oct 9, Abby told Stomp that she received a call from the supervisor of the Eastpoint Mall outlet who told her that the individual involved was given a warning.
"She asserts that the ink on the stickers is completely toxin-free," she said.
