Woman pays 'ridiculous' $7.20 Grab service fee, yet waits 2 hours for food from restaurant just 1km away
A woman was appalled by the service fee and wait time of a Grab order from a restaurant near her home.
Stomper Kimberly had ordered $62.30 worth of food from Mun Ting Xiang in The Midtown at Upper Serangoon Road, a kilometre away from her home. She was also charged an additional service fee of $7.20.

Given the short distance, one would expect the delivery to be fast, but it wasn't to be.
"I ordered my dinner at about 6.15pm. However, the arrival of the dinner kept being delayed from 7.40pm to 8.10pm," recounted the Stomper
"It took two hours for a driver to reach us."
She shared a screenshot showing the time when the order made and the estimated arrival time, which were nearly two hours apart.

She added: "The worst thing is, the service fee is $7! How ridiculous is that?"
After the Stomper complained to Grab, the company offered her a $5 refund, but to her, it was not about the money.
"I asked why I'm paying that kind of price yet the driver needs to make so many deliveries in one trip," said the Stomper, who shared a screenshot of Grab's reply about factors influencing delivering fees.
