A woman is outraged that Ninja Van said it was not liable after her parcels were damaged during delivery.

Stomper J had paid for Ninja Van to deliver a $372 basin set in two parcels at $17 plus each.

She shared the email from Ninja Van informing her that her parcels were damaged.

The May 21 email said: "Kindly note that we will NOT be liable for the damaged item due to improper packaging.

"As the parcel undergoes multiple touch-points during delivery (eg loading, unloading and sorting), they need to be adequately packaged to withstand the entire delivery cycle in accordance to our packaging guidelines.

In her complaint to Ninja Van, the Stomper wrote: "Wow, Ninja Van Singapore, you damaged both my parcels so severely and simply just stated that they will be discarded and you are not liable! How responsible! No apology and no solution provided! This is totally outrageous!

"I booked two parcel delivery of sizes not more than 30kg with dimensions of not more than 60x70x70cm. The parcels were within the dimensions, but your delivery driver said he was unable to deliver.

"I had to repackage the parcels as a result, which were wrapped properly with foam, and now you destroy them and blame me for improper packaging. How convenient."

She told Stomp: "The driver claimed that he was not responsible for the damage, but when I asked Ninja Van, they claimed that the parcels were already damaged.

"Instead of giving a proper update and solution, Ninja Van simply pushed the responsibility to me when the parcels were properly wrapped with white foam and multiple layers of tape.

"I was told my parcels were discarded when there were still undamaged parts in them. When I requested the remaining parts to be delivered to me, Ninja Van simply ignored my request. I wanted them back as there were parts which I could still use, but Ninja Van simply just discarded them."

Stomp has reached out to Ninja Van for more information.

The Stomper added: "I just couldn't accept Ninja Van’s attitude in handling this situation, simply claiming that they are not responsible instead of focusing on how to resolve the issue.

"And there was no refund of the delivery fee at all! I paid around $35 for it."
