Woman looking for couple in photo frame from vintage store: Is she iconic McDonald's granny?
A woman was taken with a photo frame she found in a vintage store recently and is hoping to return the photo within it to the couple's family.
Stomper Sarah shared a post by Facebook user Sheena Ling seeking the family of the couple in the photo.
She wrote she would be happy to return the photo without the frame.
Several netizens commented on how lovely the couple looked.
Others were curious about the origins of the photo and when Ms Ling shared that she got it at a vintage store, one wrote: "Wah! You (are) so brave to buy it! Normally people refrain from buying family portrait(s) due to unknown sources or 'pan tang' (taboo)."
Others speculated that the lady in the photo bears an uncanny resemblance to the iconic granny featured in a McDonald's commercial from 1991.
Singaporean comedian Abigail Chay's mother played the role of the grandmother in the ad and some netizens called for her to verify if the couple in the photo are her parents.
