Talk about travelling in style.

A woman was seen eating a nugget onboard SBS Transit bus service 174 on July 8, at around 10.45pm.

Stomper Swaggy said the incident occurred when the bus was travelling from Boon Lay to Bukit Batok.

He recounted: "This aunty was casually enjoying a full MOS Burger meal on public transport - burger, nuggets, the whole set - like it was her personal dining car."

Swaggy shared a video that shows the female commuter dipping a nugget into a small tub of sauce, licking her fingers and eating her food.

Swaggy added: "Meanwhile, the bus driver was driving like it was the F1 Grand Prix. Honestly, it felt like a high-speed food challenge on wheels!

"The bus came late while we were waiting at the interchange, so I think there was a delay of about 10 minutes, which was why we could feel him driving faster than usual."

However, SBS Transit spokesperson Mrs Grace Wu clarified that the bus driver was not speeding.

She said on July 17 in response to a Stomp query: "Road safety is important to us, and we take such matters seriously.

"Based on our records, the bus was not speeding. The bus captain drove in a safe and steady manner throughout the journey, with no signs of passengers being affected by sudden acceleration."

Commuters are also reminded not to eat, drink or litter on buses.

"We would also like to take this opportunity to seek the cooperation of our commuters to help keep our buses clean by not eating, drinking or littering on board to contribute to a pleasant ride for all," Mrs Wu added.
