Woman caught using phone with both hands while driving on PIE
A driver was caught on camera driving with both hands off the wheel to use her phone.
Stomper Raz was on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Toa Payoh at about 10am on June 2 when he witnessed the incident.
He shared footage recorded on his motorcycle helmet camera with Stomp.
In the video, Raz rides past a white Toyota and does a double-take when he notices the driver appearing to hold her phone with both hands while the vehicle is in motion.
The Stomper said: "She was swerving a bit. I could see what she was doing from her rear-view mirror."
According to the Road Traffic Act, first-time offenders caught using a mobile communication device while driving can face a fine of up to $1,000, jail for up to six months, or both.
