Woman allegedly molested by man seeks help from Kranji MRT station staff who detains him

A 35-year-old man was arrested for molesting a woman at Kranji MRT station on Sept 7.

The police were alerted to the case at Woodlands Road at about 11.30pm.

Upon arrival, police officers found the man detained by a station staff member.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 38-year-old woman had sought the assistance of station staff after she was allegedly molested by the man.

He was to be charged in court on Sept 9 with outrage of modesty.

The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to three years, a fine, caning or any combination.
