Woman, 25, charged with trafficking Kpods after police found vapes on her at King George's Avenue

A 25-year-old woman was charged in court on Oct 24 for the trafficking of Kpods.

Low Hui Mei had been detained by police at King George's Avenue on Oct 22.

E-vaporisers were found on her and the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) was alerted.

HSA officers seized 11 vapes and 101 pods from the accused.

Laboratory testing confirmed that the seized pods contained etomidate.

Investigations are ongoing.

The case has been adjourned to Oct 31.

Sellers and distributors of Kpods face two to 10 years' imprisonment and two to five strokes of the cane. Women are not caned.
