A True Fitness gym member is not happy that the towels at the NTUC Income Tampines Junction branch have holes in them.

Stomper CWL shared photos comparing a hole-free towel in the Millenia Walk branch and a torn towel in the Tampines Junction branch.

"True Fitness, an established gym, has been providing towels with holes in their Tampines branch," said the Stomper.

"In fact, the towels not just have holes in them, they are black and dirty too."

She alleged that the manager told her the company would not be doing anything about it.

"I signed up for the gym only to realise that the branch that I go to provides such dirty towels," added the Stomper.

"They stink too."

Membership at True Fitness starts from $105 a month.

Upon entry, each member or guest will receive a large bath towel and a small towel from the reception counter. Additional towels are chargeable.

In response to a Stomp query, a True Group spokesperson said: "We are committed to providing all our members with a clean and comfortable workout environment, and we refresh our towel supply regularly.

"All clubs have a sufficient supply of towels daily, though on some occasions - particularly during busier periods - we might need to supplement this supply with clean spare towels that we keep in reserve.

"We want to assure members that all our towels meet our strict cleanliness and hygiene standards, and that we are currently working with our supplier to expedite the arrival of new towels."
