Why are people queueing outside on a hot afternoon at Orchard Road? It's not for Labubu
It was another hot afternoon in Singapore.
Yet people were joining a long queue on the walkway in front of Ngee Ann City without any shelter at Orchard Road on Oct 26.
Some used their umbrellas to get some shade.
What were they queuing for?
Was it for the Labubu doll, the latest craze in town?
Stomp traced the queue to a booth of an online store called Sidersonline, which sells quirky apparel, bags and other accessories, many inspired by food. No Labubu.
The pop-up was part of a weekend event called Night At Orchard, although most of the booths were open in the day as well. The booths stretched from the front of Wisma Atria mall to Takashimaya Department Store.
Oct 27 is the last day of the event.
Stomp has contacted Sidersonline for more info.
