Water pours down on event as temporary roof gives way at Kampung Admiralty, HDB investigating
Parts of the temporary roof gave way due to heavy rain at Kampung Admiralty Community Plaza during the SkillsFuture Festival on Aug 4.
The event organiser, North West Community Development Council (CDC), said on Facebook it happened at around 1.45pm.
Stompers alerted Stomp to videos of the incident posted online.
The videos show water pouring down from the ceiling onto the event floor.
As the area under the temporary roof was cordoned off earlier, no one was injured, said the CDC. It added that the Housing Board is currently investigating the incident.
The CDC said: "We would like to inform all residents who may be heading down to our event that all activities have been cancelled due to this incident. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."
