Van catches fire at Jurong West
A van caught fire near Block 852 Jurong West Street 81 on Wednesday afternoon (May 18).
Stomper Fadeli shared with Stomp a video he took from his home of the incident.
"We heard the sound of fire engines," he said.
"The van was emitting smoke and fire.
"The weather has been so hot."
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at 1.35pm.
"The fire involved the engine compartment of a van," an SCDF spokesman said.
"SCDF extinguished the fire using a compressed air foam backpack and a water jet."
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
