Van catches fire at Braddell Road, explosions heard
Explosions can be heard after a van caught fire at Braddell Road on Sept 10 afternoon.
Stomper Star shared a video of the burning vehicle taken from Block 221 Lorong 8 Toa Payoh, where several small explosions can be heard.
Sharing photos of the charred van after the flames were extinguished, Stomper Roger said: "I drove past and noticed the smoke and burning smell. SCDF (Singapore Civil Defence Force) was at the scene putting out the blaze."
Other photos of the wreckage were also posted online.
In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said it was alerted to the fire at about 4.10pm.
SCDF extinguished the fire using a water jet and a hosereel.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
