Anyone knows what these 'alien looking fruits' growing under tree in Kovan are?

Stomper Lau Lap was near Heartland Mall in Kovan on June 10 when he saw peculiar looking fruits growing on a shrub under a tree.
In a telephone interview, Lau Lap told Stomp that the green-coloured fruits have depressions that resembled craters all around.
They also had a slightly unpleasant smell.
Said the Stomper:
"The fruits looked very unusual. I wonder if they are edible."
"Hope readers can enlighten me about the fruits."
