Two men arrested after assaulting and robbing victim of $300 in Geylang

Two men, aged 28 and 29, have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a victim and robbing him of $300 in cash.

The police said in a statement that they were alerted to the case at Lorong 15 Geylang on Feb 25 at 5.35am.

The victim sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.

Police officers established the identities of the two men and arrested them the next day.

They will be charged in court with the offence of robbery with hurt which carries a jail term of between five and twenty years, and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
