Trailer driver assisting with investigations into accident with car at Upper Changi East junction
A 44-year-old trailer driver is assisting with investigations after his trailer and a car were involved in an accident at the junction of Upper Changi Road North and Upper Changi East on July 11.
The police told Stomp that they were alerted to the collision at 3.25pm.
No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing.
Stomper SH passed by the accident site at about 4pm and said there was a bad traffic jam.
He recounted: "I noticed a blue Mercedes wedged under an 18-wheeler container truck. The driver of the car, who was in a blue shirt and pants, seemed okay."
SH also noted that an accident had taken place at the same junction just two days ago on July 9, at around 11.30pm.
A video of the collision involving two cars was posted on Facebook. One of the vehicles can be seen crashing into a traffic light.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the July 9 accident at about 11.40pm. One person was assessed for minor injuries but declined conveyance to hospital.
SH shared his opinions on what might have caused both accidents.
He said: "After recent completion of the Loyang viaduct, this particular junction was redesigned and turned from a three-way lane into a four-way lane, which has become rather squeezy for vehicles turning into Upper Changi Road North. I believe the July 11 accident was a result of that.
"As for the accident that happened on July 9, I have personally witnessed two similar accidents at that very junction which I believe were due to the location and distance of the traffic lights."
Sharing a photo of the traffic lights labelled 'A' and 'B', the Stomper added: "Drivers might mistakenly think that B is actually A due to their close proximity and begin to drive, only for B to turn green (which is not in their favour but for other turning vehicles), just like in the case of the blue car in the July 9 accident.
"This can be even more confusing at night when these lights are very bright and will be especially dangerous if the driver is fatigued."
