Toyota flashes headlights to warn Stomper before running red light at Choa Chu Kang junction
A white Toyota Corolla flashed its headlights to warn a motorist before running the red light at a Choa Chu Kang junction on Aug 14 afternoon.
The motorist was Stomper Ken, who shared dashcam footage of the near accident that took place at 2.22pm.
The Stomper had stopped at a junction on Choa Chu Kang Way behind a black car, waiting to turn into Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3.
When the light changed to their favour, the Stomper followed the black car, which made the right turn without incident.
But before the Stomper could complete the turn, the white Toyota coming from the opposite direction flashed its headlights at the Stomper to warn him of its approach.
If the Stomper had not stopped in time, there would have been collision between him and the Toyota.
He complained: "The white car didn't stop for the red light."
The penalty for failing to conform to traffic light signals is 12 demerit points and a composition fine of $400 for light vehicles.
