Town council looking for pet owner after Woodlands resident complains of dog poo and urine in lift
Marsiling-Yew Tee Town Council (MYTTC) is looking to identify the individual responsible for letting their pet defecate and urinate inside a lift at Block 328 Woodlands Street 32.
Stomper Terry alerted Stomp to the incident and shared that he has repeatedly found dog faeces and urine in the lifts at his block.
"I love small animals and understand dogs are man's best friend," he said.
"They are like kids, they don't know they are doing something wrong like peeing and pooing in the lift, but as a pet owner, you should know."
He added that cleaning up the mess is the responsibility of pet owners.
"The smell in the lift is so disgusting and unhygienic," he said.
Terry told Stomp he believes the truth will come to light considering just 36 households are sharing that specific lift.
He had this to say to the culprit: "You know who you are and the CCTV in the lift has definitely caught you."
Due to the number of repeated instances of this behaviour, he has also reported this to the town council.
In response to a Stomp query, the town council said: "The town council takes feedback of estate cleanliness seriously and our cleaners follow a cleaning schedule.
"The affected lift has since been cleaned and sanitised.
"At the same time, our team is working to identify the individual responsible for the incident.
"We will continue to promote responsible pet ownership and encourage considerate behaviour through ongoing communication efforts, including posters and other outreach initiatives."
