Town council issues advisory to resident, removes potted plants dirtying Woodlands block and 'restores area'
Potted plants placed on the ledges of Block 374B Woodlands Avenue 1 are not only dangerous, but have also resulted in an unsightly mess.
Stomper Sudin raised concerns about the plants and shared a video he took on Jan 21.
"This neighbour puts plants in common areas, causing the parapet to be so dirty," he said.
Sudin added that he had reported the matter to Marsiling-Yew Tee Town Council (MYTTC), which acknowledged his feedback.
In response to a Stomp query, an MYTTC spokesperson said the town council is aware of the incident.
"Following our checks, our cleaners carried out cleaning works at the affected areas, including the external ledges, and removed the potted plants along the parapet," the spokesperson said.
"The affected walls have since been repainted and the area restored.
"An advisory has been issued to the resident concerned, advising against the unauthorised placement of potted plants along the corridor parapet, as part of our ongoing efforts to prevent recurrence.
"We remain committed to working closely with the community to maintain a clean, pleasant and safe living environment for everyone."
