A delivery person was caught on CCTV taking the delivery left by a previous delivery person in Sengkang.

Stomper Ann shared a video of a person wearing a cap hanging a bag of flowers on a hook on the gate and taking the bag that was previously on the hook.

"An unfortunate incident spoiled my family member's Valentine's Day surprise," said the Stomper.

"Our first GrabMart delivery arrived at 11:43pm on Feb 13 and was hung at our gate. A photo was taken as proof of delivery.

"Shortly after, at 11.58pm, a different GrabMart delivery driver arrived with a flower order.

"However, this driver took the previously delivered gift that was hanging on our gate.

"Unbeknownst to her, our neighbor has a CCTV camera that captured everything. Interestingly, the driver glanced at the camera before leaving, seemingly aware of its presence."

The Stomper described the delivery person as a "tomboy". The missing gift was a teddy bear.

The Stomper said: "My son contacted the driver, who initially denied seeing the gift. Later, the driver changed her story, saying she would 'take the blame' and even offered to transfer money via PayNow.

"But all we wanted was for the gift to be returned. Despite being given ample time, the driver never came back.

"The entire situation ruined the surprise and our mood. This was not just about money - it was about effort, time, and the sentimental value behind the gift."

The Stomper said she has reported the incident to Grab and the police.

She added: "If the driver had simply returned the gift, we would have let the matter go - but instead, she chose dishonesty."

In response to a Stomp query, a Grab spokesperson said: "We are sorry for the unpleasant experience the customer had with our delivery-partner. This incident does not reflect the integrity and professionalism that the majority of our delivery-partners uphold in accordance with our Code of Conduct.

"Upon a thorough review of the incident, we have since banned the delivery-partner and will be reaching out to the customer to provide a full refund for the missing items.

"We remain committed to ensuring a safe and reliable experience for all and encourage anyone with concerns to reach out to Grab for assistance at any time."

When contacted by Stomp, the police confirmed a report was lodged, adding that investigations are ongoing.
