Yet another Stomper has complained about the state of the toilets at Chinatown MRT station.

Stomper Saranya said she used the station's female washroom at 7.40pm on Sept 7 and its condition "put me utterly in disbelief".

She added: "The litter bins were overflowing with sanitary napkins and baby diapers."

The Stomper also shared a photo of an inspection card indicating that hygiene checks have been made in the toilet.

"Daily cleaning duties seemed to have been ignored," said Saranya.

Her feedback comes after a similar complaint by Stomper JK in June.

JK had shared pictures of unflushed toilets, cubicles littered with paper, and bins overflowing with trash in the female restroom at Chinatown MRT station.

SBS Transit spokesperson Mrs Grace Wu told Stomp at that time: "At Chinatown station on the North East Line, the toilets are cleaned daily - about every three hours on average.

"While we are reviewing additional measures to improve cleanliness, we also appeal to users to be considerate and responsible. Everyone plays a part in keeping shared spaces, such as toilets, clean and comfortable for others."

Stomp has contacted SBS Transit for comment about Saranya's feedback.
