Teen in Thailand wants to find S'pore dad after over 10 years, his last known address is Hume Ave condo
A teenage girl in Bangkok is looking for her Singapore father whom she has not seen for more than a decade.
Her name is Jingwen, said Stomper Nina, who is a friend of the girl's mother, Vachira.
The father's name is Mr Thian Boon Lim.
The Stomper explained that after getting married and having their daughter, he and Vachira lived in Thailand in the beginning.
"Her husband stayed with her for a short time, then went back to Singapore for work and sent money to support them," said the Stomper.
"Of course, he tried to take their daughter to live with him for a better life, but Vachira didn't want it and they decided to stop the relationship."
Years passed and Jingwen is now 16.
"The mother has a new boyfriend and I don't know where she lives or when she is coming back home again, leaving Jingwen with her grandmother," said the Stomper.
"Jingwen is a high school student. She takes on a part-time job at the school that not only helps her earn pocket money but also contributes towards her tuition fees."
The Stomper lives in Denmark and returns to Thailand every two years.
"I last met Jingwen and her mother two years ago," said the Stomper. "Jingwen and I keep in contact via Facebook.
"I'm not sure how long she has not seen her father. It may be 12 or 13 years. She is desperately seeking to reunite with him."
Mr Thian's last known address is Hillview Green, a condominium at Hume Avenue.
