A tipper truck caught fire on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on Monday evening (Feb 13).

Stomper Sin, who is a cabby, was driving along the expressway when he saw the blaze.

Sharing videos and photos of the burning vehicle, Mr Sin said he called the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

Stomper Mike also shared a video showing cars slowly go past the tipper truck as firefighters doused the flames with a water jet.

In response to a Stomp query, SCDF said it was alerted to a vehicle on fire along ECP towards Changi Airport before Still Road South exit at about 7.15pm.

"The fire involved the engine compartment and cabin of a tipper truck. SCDF extinguished the fire using a water jet," said SCDF.

There were no reported injuries.

Other videos of the fire were also posted online.
