A supermarket operator has been advised to move a large fridge that was temporarily placed along a walkway at Block 632 Bedok Reservoir Road.

Stomper Anonymous, who frequents the area, alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video of the obstruction after having lunch on July 27.

"This fridge has been here for more than two weeks, and is obstructing the five-footway," the Stomper said. "If a wheelchair user comes by, I have to let them pass first."

In response to a Stomp query, an Aljunied-Hougang Town Council spokesperson said: "The supermarket in question reopened late last month following renovations and is currently in the process of finalising the arrangement of goods within the store.

"The refrigerator had been temporarily placed near the entrance, with its doors facing inward-an indication that this was not its intended permanent location.

"Nonetheless, our officers have visited the premises and advised the operator to remove the refrigerator from its temporary position.

"The refrigerator has since been moved away from the said five-footway as advised."
