"Super long queue at Switch!" exclaimed the Stomper.

"Bad for Singapore's reputation as an international hub for Mice (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions). Enterprise Singapore has been organising this event for years, but yet failed to manage the event well.

"Locals and overseas guests all complained and frustrated."

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesperson for Enterprise Singapore said: "Due to the overwhelming response and enthusiasm from participants eager to attend the opening ceremony on Oct 29, a larger-than-expected crowd gathered at the entrance during the peak period.

"Once we became aware of the situation, our team immediately implemented measures, including increasing the number of registration counters to expedite entry, and the queue was promptly resolved."

"We truly appreciate the strong support and understanding shown by all attendees who have taken their time to join us at the 10th edition of Switch.

"Their participation contributes greatly to the success of our event, and we remain committed to providing a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone."

Switch is touted as "Asia's premier innovation festival, bringing together market leaders, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, creators, accelerators and investors from the global innovation ecosystem".

Taking place from Oct 29 to 31, the 2025 edition is expected to host about 20,000 attendees - including entrepreneurs, people from government agencies and investors - from more than 100 countries.

Around 400 exhibitors have set up booths, with a focus on AI, sustainability and other tech innovations.
