Stomper warns others after receiving 'fake' supplement from TikTok Shop
A woman who bought supplements on TikTok Shop was alarmed to receive what she described as a completely different product.
Stomper Gowry told Stomp she had bought two bottles of what was advertised as a Tasly product for blood circulation for $35.99 on April 22, but what arrived two days later did not match the listing.
"The item this TikTok Shop seller is selling is a fake product," she said.
"Wrong item and totally different product."
In photos shared by the Stomper, she received a nitric oxide supplement from a brand called MLAIKNG.
Gowry added that when she messaged the seller regarding this, she received no response.
She added: "I don't mind about my refund.
"I worry more that elderly customers might be scammed."
Gowry said the product she received did not resemble the original brand she had intended to purchase, and her online search turned up nothing about the name printed on the bottles.
"If it's an upgraded version, they should have highlighted it," he said, referring to the seller's claims that they had 'upgraded' the packaging.

"But I searched the brand's website and found nothing listed."
In response to queries from Stomp, a TikTok Shop spokesperson said the reported listing has since been taken down.
"We have established clear product listing policies and have a dedicated team responsible for policy enforcement to ensure TikTok Shop operates in full compliance with current regulations," said the spokesperson.
"When we become aware of any violations by sellers, we review the products and implement appropriate measures.
"These may include, but are not limited to, product removal, temporary suspension of sales, or termination of contracts with sellers in violation, depending on the case."
TikTok Shop added that it has strict guidelines around counterfeit and knock-off products, and that all items sold must be authentic and not misleading.
Buyers who encounter suspicious products or listings are encouraged to report them through the in-app 'report' function.
