Stomper tells off tourist she catches peeing in Singapore River: 'It's not right!'
A man was caught peeing into the Singapore River at Clarke Quay on Feb 27.
A Stomper shared with Stomp clips she took of the incident and said it happened at 11.18pm.
"One of his friends said in Mandarin, 'It's okay, it's nothing' after he saw me recording because I told him it's not right!" she said.
"He told me to stop recording but his friend was recording the man peeing.
"The other was trying to cover it up."
The Stomper added that there were other tourists in the area, including some Caucasian ladies who stopped to look at the man.
She requested to mute her voice in the video but is heard saying: "He's peeing in here and he thinks it's funny."
One of the man's companions is seen raising his hand up to the Stomper.
The man who peed in the river is later seen returning to a van believed to be transporting tourists.
"As a Singaporean, I told him off and reminded them that this is illegal," the Stomper said.
She also shared that she reported the incident to the police.
"It's an embarrassing act," she added.
"I hope the authorities got them before they left the country and gave them a hefty fine!"
According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), those found urinating or defecating in public will be fined $300. If convicted in court, offenders can be fined up to $1,000.
