Stomper spots BlueSG vehicle attempting to cross into JB, police investigating
A Stomper was surprised to see a BlueSG vehicle attempting to enter Johor Bahru via Woodlands Checkpoint on May 4.
Stomper Nana shared a photo taken at 10:57am, showing the electric car in line at the checkpoint.
"I thought it's interesting," said the Stomper. "A BlueSG car attempting to enter JB via Woodlands Checkpoint."
Under BlueSG's current terms, the electric vehicles are only allowed to operate within the BlueSG Zone, which includes the main island of Singapore, Sentosa and Jurong Island.
Operating a BlueSG vehicle outside of the BlueSG Zone is prohibited and users can be charged $500 for doing so.
In response to a Stomp query, a BlueSG spokesperson said: "We are aware of an incident involving a BlueSG vehicle at Woodlands Checkpoint.
"BlueSG's service operates strictly within Singapore and does not extend beyond national borders.
"The matter is currently under police investigation, and we are unable to comment further.
"We take any breach of our service terms and safety protocols seriously and will take appropriate action in line with our policies."
