The original price of the ticket was $35.

A football fan offered $130 each for Singapore-Vietnam semi-final tickets on Carousell but was outbid by someone else who offered $220.

Stomper B shared screenshots of the Carousell listing and his online chat with the seller on Dec 22.

Two pairs of tickets in two sections of the stadium were listed with the bidding starting at $50.

"Bid will end once price reaches a price I am satisfied with, or on Dec 26, meet you at the stadium before the game (however deposit must be made if meeting before 25th)," said the listing.

At the time the screenshot was taken, the current bid was $150.

The Stomper made an offer of $130.

The seller replied: "Sorry. Now price quite expensive. Someone offered $220 each for four tickets."

The Stomper told Stomp: "I understand that if people waited four to six hours to get extra tickets, it's okay to make a bit of profit. But it's ridiculous when it's this much."

Tickets for the first leg of the Asean Mitsubishi Electric Cup semi-final on Dec 26 went on sale at noon on Dec 22. They were priced at $24, $35 and $49.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) said all available Home Section tickets were sold out by 6.20pm.

"Some fans even queued overnight to ensure they got their hands on tickets," said FAS.

The match is being held at the 6,000-seat Jalan Besar Stadium following a late schedule change that rendered the 55,000-seat National Stadium unavailable, said the association.

At 6.42pm the same day, FAS posted on its social media a warning about buying tickets from resellers.

The association said it cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets resold online as they may be invalid or counterfeit

"In addition, we also urge away fans not to purchase from resellers as you may be denied entry into the stadium or be ejected from the venue if you are found to be seated in the sections reserved for home fans," said FAS.

"Away fans are only allowed in the designated away section."
