A man was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run accident with an e-bike rider in Yishun on Feb 6 evening.

Stomper Apple shared a video of accident's aftermath, which shows the man lying on the road and the e-biker with his toppled e-bike.

"I took this video as I partially witnessed the aftermath of the accident between a speeding e-bike rider and a pedestrian at Yishun Ring Road towards Yishun Avenue 9," said the Stomper.

"At about 11.30pm, a loud crash was heard and so I went to take a look. I did not see what happened, but noticed a Chinese male lying face down motionless in the middle of the road for about four to five minutes.

"I spotted a black Fiido e-bike lying down on the middle of the road. The rider is a Malay teenager, who looked 15 to 17 years old, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, white shorts and slippers.

"Several motorists stopped to assist the casualty and he woke up dazed and was taken to the side. I called 995.

"There were visible lacerations on the victim and what was heard from the paramedics was that the victim claimed he had tripped and fallen, but that was unlikely the case as he could've had a head injury.

"The hit-and-run suspect fled the scene via the Park Connector Network on his black e-bike.

"When the Traffic Police arrived, I spoke to them and gave them the footage of the aftermath."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the hit-and-run accident at about 11.45pm.

The 33-year-old male pedestrian was conscious when taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
