Stomp investigates Stompers' complaints about ice in iJooz orange juice
Did you know that you can now add ice to your iJooz drinks?
Well, Stompers Loo and Sunitha did not realise this was an option - or a choice.
They took to Stomp to express their disappointment at the unexpected ice in their orange juice.
Loo, who purchased an iJooz drink at Punggol Bus Interchange, said the ice "takes up half a cup of space."
She added: "I am disappointed with iJooz's decision to add ice cubes into their orange juice."
Sunitha was equally upset: "I regularly buy iJooz from Block 601 Woodlands Drive 42, West Mall, and Sheng Siong at West Terra in Bukit Batok.
"On July 6, I bought iJooz from 888 Plaza, and was shocked to find a quarter of the cup filled with ice cubes, which I didn't find in the other three places.
"The juice only filled three quarters of the cup for $2. They should have at least filled 90 per cent of the cup. And now, with ice cubes diluting it, I literally purchased half a cup of juice priced at $2!
"It's a huge disappointment to drink diluted juice at a high price, reducing its nutritional value."
Neither Stomper was aware that they could still opt for regular orange juice without ice.
iJooz posted an Instagram reel on May 15 explaining their new fifth-generation orange juice machines, which allow patrons to choose a drink with ice or no ice. Both options are priced the same at $2.
"The new machine lets you choose with ice or without, right on the screen," the video says.
"Of course, you can still choose no ice added."
The video states that fifth-generation machines have a "with ice" sign on them.
Stomp spotted these new machines at Fortune Centre and at Yishun Integrated Transport Hub.

Upon being informed that she could choose whether to add ice to her drink or not, Sunitha confirmed that the iJooz machine at 888 Plaza is indeed an upgraded one.
She told Stomp: "I was in a hurry and used my phone to purchase the drink, hence it overrode the option. I sincerely apologise for my hasty feedback. Thank you for your prompt response."
Loo echoed similar sentiments after being updated by Stomp.
She said on July 12: "I have checked the machine at Punggol Bus Interchange and found the option for with and without ice.
"I was not aware that I could choose with or without ice. I am so embarrassed now!"
No worries, that's what we are here for 🫡.
Stomp has contacted iJooz for more information.
