Sea of people at Tanjong Pagar MRT Station after heavy rain causes delay on East-West Line

Stomper Mei Chi was caught a train delay after reaching Tanjong Pagar Station at around 6.15pm today (Apr 17).

In a telephone interview, she said that it was announced over the PA system that trains will be delayed due to heavy rain.

There were long queues at the station because of the delay, but the Stomper said that MRT staff directed the crowd in an organised fashion.

She eventually managed to get onto an MRT train at around 6.25pm after four packed trains passed Tanjong Pagar MRT Station on the East-West Line.

After boarding, Mei Chi reported that the train she was on was moving slower than usual.
