The loan shark runner, who sent her the footage of himself throwing the Molotov cocktail, allegedly threatened to harass her every day if she did not pay up.

There was no indication when the incident took place and if anyone was injured in the attack.

In urging the authorities to take swift action, Mr Lim wrote: "Kuala Lumpur must not become a playground for gangsters or cross-border loan shark syndicates."

Media Statement by Member of Parliament for Kepong, Lim Lip Eng on 14/4/2025: Petrol Bomb Attack Linked to Loan Shark – Urgent Action Needed I have received a disturbing complaint from a female victim whose previously rented home in Kepong Baru was targeted in a petrol bomb attack. The assailant is believed to be a local runner acting on behalf of a Singapore-based loan shark. In a shocking act of criminal intimidation, the attacker recorded the incident and sent the video to the victim (see attached video), warning her that if she fails to repay the debt, they will return every day to harass her. The victim has lodged a police report, and I urge the police to take swift and decisive action. This is not merely a threat—it is a serious crime that endangers public safety and undermines the rule of law. Kuala Lumpur must not become a playground for gangsters or cross-border loan shark syndicates. The authorities must act without delay to bring those responsible to justice.
