Simonboy says he forgives ex-wife who abused their daughter until she was killed by her mum's boyfriend
Content creator Khung Wei Nan, better known as Simonboy, said in an Instagram tribute to his daughter Megan that he has forgiven her mother, who abused Megan until she was killed by her mum's boyfriend.
Megan was four years old when she was punched to death by freelance mechanic Wong Shi Xiang on Feb 21, 2020.
Wong and Megan's mother Foo Li Ping would abuse drugs and Megan until the girl's death in a condominium in Paya Lebar, reported The Straits Times.
Both Wong and Foo pleaded guilty to various charges on Feb 28, 2025.
On March 1, Simonboy reposted a 2022 Instagram video about him quitting smoking for Megan, but "she's no longer around".
"Love you, my little bacon," he wrote in the post, adding that the pain had never subsided.
"I've lost my own daughter, but this story has not ended. I will use whatever that's left to help other fathers not lose their kids today.
"I will be the ambassador of #saynotodrugs till my very last breath.
"And yes, Megan, I've forgiven your mother. I know this is what you want and hope for."
Two weeks earlier, on Feb 17, Simonboy had posted an anti-smoking video where he appeared with a young girl playing his daughter.
His real daughter Megan was three when the abuse by her mother and her mum's boyfriend began.
The couple would cane Megan when she urinated on the bed and sofa. The boyfriend taught Megan's mother how to inflict pain on the girl without leaving visible marks or injuries.
They would forced her to be naked at home because the girl would peel the scabs from her caning wounds, staining her clothes with blood.
The couple forced Megan to sleep in a planter box, measuring 3m by 1m, outside the master bedroom, to prevent her from dirtying the flat.
Megan's mother once forced her to wear her soiled diaper over her head as the mum was angry that the girl did not tell her the leaking diaper was full. When Megan resisted, her mother slapped her.
After Megan was killed by her mum's boyfriend, her body was burned in a metal barrel on May 8, 2020.
On July 20, 2020, Simonboy made a police report, saying he was concerned about Megan's whereabouts and safety. He said he last saw her in February 2017.
Four days later, the police arrested his ex-wife and her boyfriend in connection with Megan's disappearance.
The couple are expected to be sentenced on April 3, 2025.
Since Megan's death, Simonboy has regularly posted about her on Instagram over the years.
Simonboy married his third wife, Chloe Eong, in July 2024. He also has a son, 12, from the first of two previous marriages.
