Cancer patient irked by 'most expensive vegetarian bee hoon' that's oily and not even tasty at SGH
She declared it the most expensive vegetarian bee hoon ever.
Stomper Carolyn was shocked at having to pay $7 for her lunch at Singapore General Hospital's Koufu food court on June 10, at around 12pm.
The meal consisted of bee hoon with mock meat, a slice of fried omelette, and bittergourd with egg.
Carolyn said: "I can easily get this at the price of $4 maximum elsewhere!
"Not only is it really cut-throat, the food is oily and doesn't taste good!
"As a patient of the National Cancer Centre, we have already spent a lot of money on medical bills and transport fees, yet eating a simple meal is so expensive!"
