SFA directs F&N Creameries to recall imported South Korean ice treat for possibly containing undeclared milk
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has recalled Binggrae Power Cap Watermelon Flavoured Ice Tube from South Korea due to the potential presence of undeclared milk allergen.
This comes after the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries issued a notification on the recall of the product. It has also been recalled in Canada. Hong Kong's Centre for Food Safety has warned about the product.
As the product was imported into Singapore, SFA directed its importer, F&N Creameries, to recall it. The recall is ongoing.
Under Singapore's Food Regulations, food products containing ingredients that are known to cause hypersensitivity must be declared on food packaging labels to protect consumers with food allergies.
Milk does not pose a food safety issue to consumers at large, except for those that are
intolerant of, or allergic to, milk.

Consumers who have purchased the affected product, and who are intolerant of, or allergic to, milk, should not consume them.
Those who are intolerant of, or allergic to, milk and have consumed the implicated product should seek medical advice if they have concerns about their health.
Consumers may contact their point of purchase for enquiries.
