'Roach cake? No thanks': Stomper creeped out by cockroach-shaped dessert at West Coast Plaza
A man was doing a grocery run at West Coast Plaza on July 18 when something strange caught his eye -- and not in a good way.
Stomper HJ shared with Stomp that he was walking past Oishii Bakery when a cake on display literally stopped him in his track.
"The cake was made in the form of a large American cockroach!" said the Stomper.
"The roach was larger than my hand! I don't know if they were trying to make a political statement against how the US president and his government have been acting towards Singapore and Japan, but I know for sure I will NOT be purchasing this cake.

"It's ironic that the shop's name is Oishii, which means 'tasty' in Japanese, but this cake looks anything but. 🤮
"Roach cake? No thanks!"
HJ said he is especially sensitive to anything resembling a cockroach because he's often tasked with killing them at home.
"My family always asks me to kill roaches because most women are afraid of them, so I get to do the dirty work," he said.
"I'm not sure who their demographic is, but it's a damn weird one if you ask me. I'm definitely not it. 🤣"
Stomp has reached out to Oishii Bakery for more information.
Would you eat a cake that looks like a cockroach?
