A rat was spotted entering a bakery at Kallang Wave Mall on April 13 at 11am.

Stomper Miz shared a video of the rodent scurrying though the main entrance of MK Levure Naturelle.

MK Levure Naturelle is a chain of bakeries owned by Bakery Cuisine.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) said it is looking into the matter.

The agency added that food safety is a joint responsibility.

While SFA puts in place and enforces the regulatory measures, food operators must play their part by adhering to good food hygiene and preparation practices. Food operators should also ensure their premises are clean and well-maintained.

Members of the public who have concerns about food safety practices by food operators should report to SFA via the online feedback form.

Stomp has reached out to Bakery Cuisine for more info.
