PUB issues flood warnings for 2nd day in a row
National water agency PUB issued flood risk warnings for several locations around Singapore on Nov 17 afternoon.
Affected areas included Ophir Road, Jalan Boon Lay, Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown.
Several videos of flooding were posted online.
The flooding was a result of a second consecutive afternoon of heavy rainfall.
A day earlier, PUB issued flood risk warnings for 10 locations across the island, including Bukit Timah Road and Jalan Boon Lay.
Stomper Lim shared a video of the downpour on the fifth level of the Senkee Logistics Hub at Pandan Avenue in Boon Lay at 3pm.
Videos of flooding elsewhere were also posted online.
In its fortnightly forecast released on Nov 15, the Meteorological Service Singapore predicted frequent moderate to heavy thundery showers for the latter half of November as the north-east monsoon sets in.
Rainfall, often starting in the afternoon and occasionally lasting into the night, is expected to be above average.
Temperatures may drop to as low as 23 deg C on some rainy days.
