The police are searching for a driver after a van crashed into a traffic light pole at a Bukit Panjang junction on March 16.

Stomper Teo shared a photo of the accident's aftermath near Block 413 Saujana Road, showing a red van mounted on the kerb with its front badly damaged.

The front-left wheel appears to have been dislodged and the van's rear door seems to have been left open.

The traffic light pole looks to be leaning slightly after the impact, with debris scattered on the ground near a pedestrian crossing.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 10.45am to an accident involving a van at the junction of Saujana Road and Fajar Road.

The van was believed to have "self-skidded".

"No injuries were reported," a police spokesperson said. "Efforts to trace the driver are underway."

Police investigations are ongoing.
