Police NSF found with self-inflicted gunshot wound in Pasir Panjang petrol station toilet taken to hospital

A 23-year-old full-time national serviceman (NSF) was found alone with a gunshot wound in his neck in Pasir Panjang on Oct 15 at about 9pm.

The police NSF was found by his teammates in a toilet at 328 Pasir Panjang Road, the address of a Shell petrol station.

He was on duty at the time, said the police in a statement at 11.30pm.

The NSF was conscious when taken to the hospital. No other person was injured.

His service revolver and remaining ammunition were accounted for and seized at scene.

Based on preliminary investigations, the wound was believed to be self-inflicted.

Police do not suspect foul play and investigations are ongoing.
