The police said it was alerted to the accident involving a car, a van, a taxi and a lorry on the SLE in the direction of the CTE at about 10.10am.
The accident happened near the Seletar West exit of the SLE, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

In a video uploaded on Facebook page Roads.sg, a black car on the road shoulder appears damaged, with its bumper fallen off.
A separate clip shows a person in a white shirt and a white cap running against the flow of traffic along the road shoulder of the SLE.
Efforts to trace the driver are under way, said the police, adding that investigations are ongoing.
