People scramble to save eggs after huge spill on road in Jurong
People scrambled to pick up eggs that were spilled on the side of a road along Corporation Drive in Jurong West.
Stomper Kenneth spotted the mess at around 10am on July 12.
Though Kenneth did not see what happened, he speculated that the eggs might have fallen off a truck.
"Some were not broken, so some passers-by picked up the good ones," he recalled.
"They were taking the unbroken eggs back for themselves, because no one seemed to have come forward to claim them."
A video taken by Kenneth showed puddles of egg whites and yolk, with broken eggshells and cartons scattered across the road.
Kenneth said: "My friends and I were quite amused!
"First we were quite surprised that so many eggs were on the road. But we are happy that some can be salvaged as it would have been a waste if it was not."
Unfortunately, Kenneth did not manage to take some of the eggs for himself as he had to leave for work.
