Passers-by unite to carry wheelchair-bound uncle down stairs at Tanjong Pagar MRT Station

Stomper Brianna came across a group of men carrying a wheelchair-bound elderly man down the stairs at Tanjong Pagar MRT Station yesterday (July 15).

According to Brianna, the service lifts were out of order, and the old man could not go down the stairs by himself.

Several passers-by who saw this quickly came to his aid.

Four men hoisted the elderly man in his wheelchair up, slowly moving him down the flight of stairs onto the platform, while others followed behind to ensure that the transition went smoothly.
