Pandapro user calls $0.96 refund for spilled milk tea a 'joke'
What started as a routine lunch delivery order quickly turned sour when a Foodpanda customer discovered their milk tea had spilled. To make matters worse, the refund was less than expected.
On Feb 18, Stomper Llx ordered $34.08 worth of crispy chicken and rice cakes from I Love Taimei's Nex outlet via the Foodpanda app. The order included a $13.80 set meal that came with an iced milk tea.
Upon delivery, Llx realised that the milk tea had "spilled".
A two-second clip shows liquid leaking from the bottom of the plastic cup, while photos reveal that more than half the cup of milk tea was empty.
Llx reported the botched order via the Foodpanda app and was offered a $0.96 refund. The amount was increased to $2.07 shortly after, which Llx found to be insufficient.
"This is not even enough for me to buy an iced Milo from my coffee shop," said the Stomper, who felt the refund process was a waste of time.

Llx also lamented about being "treated so miserably" by Foodpanda despite being a Pandapro subscriber who has made "hundreds of orders" since June 2025.
In response to a Stomp query, a Foodpanda spokesperson said the company has reviewed the case and refunds were processed in line with its policies.
"An additional goodwill voucher was also extended to the customer," the spokesperson added.
However, Llx clarified that they did not get any vouchers and all they received was the $2.07 refund, meaning that the $1.11 difference was likely the "goodwill voucher".
This incident comes after two similar cases reported on Stomp, in which two customers separately complained about late and incorrect Foodpanda orders. Both Stompers subsequently received full refunds.
