Lucky resident greeted by pink-necked green pigeons at Upper East Coast Road
She got lucky again.
Weeks after having a hornbill visit her home, Stomper Anonymous has another lovely wildlife sighting to share.
The Upper East Coast Road resident spotted two pink-necked green pigeons outside her home on April 12, at 9.11am. The birds were each perched on two different opposite-facing palm tree branches.
Anonymous remarked: "The birds were just sitting there and looking around watching! They looked very innocent with small red feet and eyes. They were there for about 10 minutes and then flew away!
"I am a lover of nature and love to see such innocent creatures."
The pink-necked green pigeon is a common bird native to Singapore that is attracted to fruits and buds of mature trees.
They can be spotted commonly in urban areas and tend to be found in large numbers when fruits on fig trees ripen.
