A Honda Shuttle Hybrid was believed to have skidded and knocked down a traffic light pole at a road junction in Serangoon on Feb 2 morning.

Stomper Someone shared photos of the overturned vehicle at a pedestrian crossing next to the road divider.

Another photo shows the car removed and workers fixing the traffic light pole.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the police said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Boundary Road and Yio Chu Kang Link at about 10.20am.

The police added that the car, which was going towards Lorong Chuan, was believed to have self-skidded.

SCDF assessed the 30-year-old driver for minor injuries, but he declined to be taken to the hospital and is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
